Dosage and Administration Instructions

Always follow your doctor’s prescription instructions. Do not alter your dosage without consulting your physician.

Typical Dosage Guidelines

Adults: The usual dose is one 1000mg capsule twice daily, 12 hours apart. Children: Amoxicillin dosage for children is determined by weight and the specific infection being treated. Your doctor will provide precise instructions. Adjustments: Your doctor may adjust your dosage based on your response to treatment and kidney function.

Take capsules with a full glass of water. You can take them with or without food, but consistent timing is helpful.

Important Considerations

Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Never take two doses at once to make up for a missed dose. Duration of Treatment: Complete the full course of treatment prescribed by your physician, even if you feel better before the medication is finished. Stopping treatment early can lead to recurrent infection. Allergies: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, especially penicillin allergies.

Potential Side Effects

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. More serious side effects are rare, but seek immediate medical attention if you experience a severe allergic reaction (such as difficulty breathing or swelling) or other unusual symptoms.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions or experience any adverse effects. Proper storage: Store the capsules in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
